Overview
Miller Health Management specialises in
assessing the occupational health needs of organisations and
their employees. The complexity of the assessment is determined
by:
the size and business
needs of the organisation;
whether the organisation currently
has any occupational health services; and
the type of information that is
available from the organisation.
Components
of the Assessment
The occupational health needs assessment
is undertaken in 2 stages:
Stage 1: Data collection and assessment.
Stage 2: Tour of the site(s) and interviews with key staff and a cross-section
of employees.
Upon completion of the needs assessment,
a management report is provided which:
identifies the organisation’s
health and safety needs and whether these needs are currently
being met;
recommends practical and cost effective
solutions which will meet these needs;
prioritises what action needs to
be taken;
determines the costs of implementing
these initiatives;
assesses net corporate benefit;
provides benchmarks to measure
the organisation’s subsequent performance through periodic
reviews.
